CANADIAN SPHINX: ABOUT THE BREED
Sphinx – this word has magic, it causes associations. These are the pyramids, sands, mysticism of ancient Egypt. But what is a sphynx cat? This is also magic, but real, consisting of flesh and blood. This is a cat figurine. These are soft lines of the body, the magic of harmony, the look of green eyes right in the heart. This is not a cat, this is poetry. The Sphinx cannot be called a cat, it is a creature that came to us from another planet. This is the embodiment of all the best that is in wildlife and man. They are very similar to humans: they have paws, like pens, they like to sleep under the covers, putting pink ears on the pillow, look directly into the eyes, not looking away, which is not typical for animals. This is a cat shock. The first shock is when you first see the Canadian Sphinx. No one is indifferent at the sight of this amazing creature. The second shock is the feeling of a hot, naked, suede calf in the palms of your hands. Whoever dares to take this creature in his arms will never let go. The third shock is the magic of the personality of the sphinx. When you communicate with the Sphinx, then its unusual, exotic appearance seems to be only a complement, an addition to its amazing character. This creature does not tolerate loneliness, it wants constant communication with you. What matters to him is not what a house is, but what you are in it. The Sphinx needs to be near you, look at you, sleep with your whole body pressed in order to be kissed on the nose. This is inexplicable in words, but the fact is that once you get the sphinx, you will never change him, he will forever take a corner in your heart. And life will be divided into periods: before the sphinx and after the sphinx. I want to emphasize that we will talk about the Canadian Sphinx. In general, in the world there are 3 breeds of hairless sphynx cats: Canadian sphinx; Don sphinx (or Don bald); St. Petersburg Sphinx (or St. Petersburg). At the moment, only the Canadian Sphinxes have received worldwide recognition. This is a fairly stable breed with 40 years of experience, transmitting its characters in a recessive manner. Two other types of sphinxes – Peterbold and Don Sphinx – are relatively young (about 15 years) and are on the way to formation.
