CANADIAN SPHINX: ABOUT THE BREED

Sphinx – this word has magic, it causes associations. These are the pyramids, sands, mysticism of ancient Egypt. But what is a sphynx cat? This is also magic, but real, consisting of flesh and blood. This is a cat figurine. These are soft lines of the body, the magic of harmony, the look of green eyes right in the heart. This is not a cat, this is poetry. The Sphinx cannot be called a cat, it is a creature that came to us from another planet. This is the embodiment of all the best that is in wildlife and man. They are very similar to humans: they have paws, like pens, they like to sleep under the covers, putting pink ears on the pillow, look directly into the eyes, not looking away, which is not typical for animals. CONTENT AND CARE

The main difficulty is caring for bare skin. In numerous folds, skin secretions accumulate, collecting dirt like a magnet, so from time to time, you should bathe the sphinx in warm water with a special shampoo for animals. Also, you can use baby soft shampoos that do not have a strong smell. Not too dirty skin can be wiped with a special damp cloth. Do not let the sphinxes spend a lot of time under the sun’s rays – their skin burns like the human skin, and this does not affect the appearance of the animal in the best way.

Sphinxes are very clean cats, therefore, it is very important to constantly keep the tray clean. Like other cats, they need to trim their nails as they grow, but they need to be watched a little more carefully, because delicate skin is easy to hurt, even with ordinary scratching. Continue reading
