Naked and funny canadian sphinxes

These cats are the most pleasant creatures, because they are, in the literal sense of the word, hot and hairless. In Japan they are called nudists, they love to eat, their bodies are covered with cutest folds, they love and can be photographed, in general, we can safely say that the “naked Canadian” is unusual in both its appearance and behavior.

Unexplained mysterious occurrence

The history of the Canadian sphinxes (it is not worth all to cut to one comb, because there are other varieties) began in 1966 and, not surprisingly, in Canada. One long-haired cat became the mother of several kittens, one of which had absolutely no hint of hair. He was called Prunt. Continue reading

Canadian Sphynx – the most unusual looking cat

Canadian Sphynx Hairless cats undoubtedly attract attention with their unusual, exotic appearance. The huge popularity of these animals is not accidental. Sphinxes – artificially bred breed for decorative purposes. The causes of hair loss in the ancestors of these exotic cats are not clear, it is believed that this is some single mutation that the breeders supported by crossing bald cats with short-haired counterparts. At the moment, the breed is in the process of formation and does not have common standards.

In addition to its unusual appearance, the Canadian Sphynx has many features that distinguish it from short-haired and long-haired counterparts.

Canadian

Sphynx breed standard accepted as final for refereeing under the CFA system (with the award of champion status), starting from May 1, 2002. The abbreviation adopted for the breed: SPH (SPX) GENERAL DESCRIPTION The most significant difference between these cats is the appearance of hairlessness. Sphinxes of medium size and physique with unexpectedly heavy weight for their size. Expressed sexual demorphism, i.e. cats are on average smaller than cats. The shape of the head is a modified wedge with pronounced cheekbones and pads of whiskers (whiskeys), giving the muzzle (that is, the parts of the head, starting with the nose and ending with the chin) a “squared” look. The body is warm and soft to the touch, with a texture similar to either a soft peach or smooth nectarine. Sphinxes have a cute character, loving, intelligent and sociable, contact. HEAD The length of the head is slightly greater than its width, with prominent cheekbones and a distinctive “pinch” (the line of transition from the cheekbones to the muzzle with a noticeable “interception”).
